 | Deemaz patch | |
As of now, the previously optional Deemaz patch is required for all evo-league games, as this is required by PES6J which most of our players use nowadays. Read the tutorial to learn how to install it, general patch discussion should go here.
If using a different patch caused any problems on PES6J before our apologies go to their community, we were not aware this was an issue as we only play games against each other, and as far as I know it's not possible to play with the Deemaz patch against the ISS patch we previously used.

 | Hello newcomers! | |
New players have signed up recently, welcome aboard! If you haven't already, please read our rules page carefully. Most important: To report an evo-league game against someone, your opponent must at least be logged in on this site or your game reports will be deleted. Preferably, both of you should be in our chatroom.
In other news, Markey has won our 64th Mini Tournament yesterday - well done! Watch the forums for upcoming tournaments.
Finally, it's time to announce when the current season will end. You have until this Friday, February 5 to improve your position. |

 | New season and tournament | |
As Konami seems unable to fix the problems with PES 2010, we'll probably be playing our freshly patched PES 6 for another year. We've had a few sign-ups and some regulars might also dig out their copy over the holidays, so I'll start the new season on Saturday.
Thanks to kingofpro we've had a successful little PES 6 mini tournament recently, so why not have a proper tournament once again? If you're interested or you have ideas, post in the PES6 Christmas tournament thread! |
 | Season final delayed | |
As you may have noticed above, there is no end date set for season 46 yet:
Season 46 (11/01/2009 - ?)
This season will probably end in late December or early January when a reasonable amount of games have been played. Stay tuned. |

 | PES 2010 released! | |
The heat is on! PES 2010 is now available for PC, PS3 and XBox. Before you can play and register ladder games with any of these versions, make sure to edit your profile and add PES 2010 to the list of games you have. Also set your 'default game' to the game you play the most. Be sure to post your impressions and questions either in the general PES 2010 thread or the PES 2010 thread for PS3!
The Yin & Yang leagues were also finished today with Akaash winning Yin as Schalke 04 and kingofpro winning the Yang league playing with Everton. Well done guys!
I've also worked on a little update for the Team Standings, you can read all about it HERE. |
 | League deadlines | |
The final deadline for the Yin & Yang leagues is
Wednesday, 21st October
where you should have played all your games. You can play as many opponents per day as you like.
Players who have let us down by only playing a few games will definitely not be included in our upcoming leagues or tournaments, be it PES6 or PES 2010.
Speaking of PES 2010, it's only a few days away now! As usual, we'll support the new version on evo-league for all major platforms as soon as the game is in the shops. |

 | PES 2010 Demo Is Here! | |
It's that time of year again where we all start getting super excited about the release of a new Pro Evolution Soccer. Well, now you can play the demo and join our debate about whether this game is better than the previous installments.
You can download the PC demo here.
So, download the demo, try it out, and tell us what you think!
In Yin/Yang League news, a new rule has been made so check that out here and be sure to play 8 games before Sunday, where I will be introducing the first deadline. |

 | New leagues | |
Starting soon!
 | Markey time | |
While many of you are out and enjoying your holidays, we've got some new winners to announce. The previous ladder season was won by Markey again, his second ladder win and he only joined just a few weeks ago!
Evo Cup 5 is also over with FidoDido beating Markey in the final. Finally Serie A has come to an end as well, again it is Markey nailing the top spot with his team Reggina Calsio. Congratulations!
As usual, a lot of beautiful goals have been scored last season. You can watch them all in kingofpro's great video posted in our GOTS competition thread - don't forget to vote! |
 | 100.000 games played | |
We made it! Last night, the 100.000th valid game has been registered on evo-league. Since we started back on November 21st in 2004, that makes an average of about 59 games played a day - not counting league and tournament games. Not too bad is it!
Things are going slower over the summer time as every year, but remember we're still running Serie A and Evo Cup 5. Our semi finalists in the latter are Markey vs. Skillardinho and The Finge vs. el-terrible - see their stats here and vote for your favourite here!
There are also open spots to play in Serie A - if you're interested in taking over a team, please post in the Reserves Thread. |
 | Server switch | |
evo-league has moved to a new server. This means both the site files and the database have been moved, and we're running on PHP5 now instead of PHP4.
I have tested most functions but there may well be errors, so please post any errors you find on the forum asap. |
 | Introducing Team Standings | |
Season 41 is over! Congratulations to Markey winning his first ladder title with only three defeats - almost as good as gecko in season 35. With the new season starting today, I have added a separate ladder for all 2on1 and 2on2 games. No worrying about your ladder stats anymore when playing in a team with someone else! You can read all about the evo-league v5.4 update and post your comments HERE.
If you're a Serie A player, remember you need to have 16 games played by Friday as recently posted in the Serie A Rules thread. You should also try to get your Coppa Italia games played as soon as possible.
Last but not least, Evo Cup 5 is finally underway. Remember you must get your first round games played by this Friday! |
 | More trophies, Serie A underway | |
Time for more trophies! The 6th Newcomer Award goes to two players this time - Akaash and Tjule.
In the final of the UnderWorld Cup, TurkMania's FC Basel beat The Finge's RSC Anderlecht with 3-2. Congratulations to all winners!
The Serie A started just two days ago and over 100 games have been played already. Try not to play all your games already so the slow starters have a chance to find opponents, and be careful you follow the current game limits!

 | UWC, GOTS and Newcomer Award! | |
 | New season started! | |
Season 40 was one of the most exciting in a while, thanks to the guys over from ProSuperLeague joining in on the fun. After a tight battle with TurkMania, PSG-lover Akaash came out on top - congratulations! All praise for the winner goes here.
With the new season starting, the Bundesliga 09 has come to a close. The Finge has won both the league and the DFB-Pokal with Hannover 96 - quite an achievement indeed! Tell us how you liked it and see what the others have to say here. |
 | Mini tournament | |
 | Season 40 started | |
We're in our forties now! Congratulations to The Finge to his fourth ladder win, bringing him closer to the top spot in our Hall of Fame. Last season's best goal was scored by Jakuchu winning the GOTS 39 poll - well done!
As we're trying to make the ladder easier to manage and concentrate on running leagues and tournaments, the rule that both players should be in the chat when playing will be enforced more strictly. If you report and can't be there, explain that in your game report. Also, we will not accept sign-up emails anymore that are not self-written and obviously just copied from a template.
Finally, please note that most of us now use the PES6J server to play league games, so please read and follow the Playing PES6 online - using PES6J tutorial as soon as possible! |

 | How to play PES6 | |
 | Bundesliga underway! | |
The Bundesliga has started! If you have signed up, please read the Rules thread before contacting and playing your opponents.
The current standings are as always on the Leagues menu item above. If you have questions, use the Discussion thread.
Finally, and most important - have fun!
 | And so it begins | |
Our next PES6 league will be the Bundesliga! If you signed up for the league, head over to the Bundesliga '09 forum and watch the Team Picking thread closely so you can get a team as soon as it is your turn!

If you signed up for the Comeback Cup, the Evo Tournaments forum is the place to be. Both events will be accompanied by our new mod spincer182. Have fun guys! |

Season 38 has finally come to an end, congratulations to TurkMania on his 8th ladder win! The new season has kicked off with the highest game count since the release of PES2008, time to remind you of the tournament and league we're planning - sign-ups close this Saturday!

 | Welcome back! | |
I have emailed all evo-league players about PES6 being back. To play you need to follow these instructions posted by TurkMania:
Tutorial for Goalserver6
General PES6 questions can be posted here. We're also thinking about launching a PES6 league soon - if you're interested, you should post here!
Regular PES6 players, please try to be around in the chat these days and help out the newbies and returnees! |

 | PES6 - The legend lives on! | |
We're back with a steady amount of PES6 games being played every day. As a result, the current season will end at the end of this month. Whether we can go back to one season per month depends on the amount of games within the next weeks, and that's where you come into play. Please
click here to read this thread
and comment if you like the league and want it to continue!

 | PES6 resurrected - hello newcomers! | |
After the official PES6 servers closed recently, different communities have been working on server software so we can still enjoy the game online. TurkMania posted all about playing PES6 using Goalserver6 here - go check it out!
With PES6 being back, I have received a fair amount of sign-up requests these days. Be sure to read our FAQ and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to post them in our forums or visit the chatroom! |

 | PES6 and PES 2009 updates | |
The official Konami servers to play PES6 online have been closed just a few days ago. However, it looks like some guys built a launcher so we can still play. You can read all about it here. Remember you can still play and register evo-league ladder games with PES6!
For the latest and greatest *cough* game, PES 2009, Konami announced a free update due for download at the end of February. It looks like it will be a roster and stats update, there's no mention of improvements to, let's say, how well the game works online. You can read the official news here. |
 | Happy new year! | |
Hi folks! Due to an overwhelming interest in our forums *cough* one of the forum database tables has been corrupted. It's all fine now.
Apart from that, there's nothing new except the year. Unfortunately, no games have been played for weeks. Looking at other sites it's obviously not an evo-league but a general PES 2009 problem, so we're not going to try generating interest in the game.
I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but we can only hope Konami learns from this year's online disaster. I will pay for the site hosting in 2009 even though it isn't covered by donations anymore. |
 | Playing policy | |
With PES 2009 we're back to one player hosting the full match, so please always try to play two matches against an evo-league opponent, one as client and one as host. For now this is not a strict rule but a matter of fair play, as our aim should always be to give everyone a fair match.
Our players have different setups and problems - for example, some might be able to play fine as client but cause a lot of lag when hosting. Talk to your opponent about your playing experience to work out your best setup. If you have problems or other info to share, please do so by posting in the PES 2009 Online thread. |
 | Small update | |
I've updated the site with new dynamic menus and added the new teams for PES 2009. You can read about and comment on the update here.
To warm up for bigger events, the first mini tournament will take place in the chat this Sunday at 21.30 CET. You can signal your interest here to tell us what you would like.
Finally, when you start playing PES 2009, don't forget to edit your profile to add PES 2009 to your games and set it as default game so you don't report wrongly! |
 | PES 2009 is out! | |
The wait is finally over - some already received it early, but PES 2009 should be available for all major platforms in stores this Wednesday. Go grab your copy!
evo-league supports reporting PES 2009 games for PC, XBox 360 and PS3 from now on. Don't forget to edit your profile and add PES 2009 to the list of games you have. Also, set 'Default game' to the version you will play the most so it's preselected when you report a game.
All your impressions, questions and suggestions should go in the all new PES 2009 online thread.
Let's get playing! |
 | Demo out! | |
The PES 09 demo is out! Most people seem to like it so far, but of course you can't please everyone. You can read and post your own impressions of the demo in the PES 2009 - Impressions thread!
As planned, season 37 ended yesterday with Skillardinho winning his second league title, moving him up to the 8th place in our Hall of Fame. Congratulations!
Of course, you'll be able to play evo-league games with PES 09 for all platforms as soon as it is available in stores. |
 | PES 2009 demo out soon | |
According to the guys over at winningelevenblog.com, a playable PES 2009 demo will be released this Thursday on PC, XBox 360 and PS3.
The official release date for the game is currently set to Friday, October 17th, but from past experience it is likely this may be delayed for a week or two, so don't get your hopes up too high.
As usual, you can discuss all news in the chat and our PES 2009 Discussion thread. |
 | Not enough players | |
We couldn't make it. Only three reliable players signed up for the inter-ladder challenge we had planned for tonight, so we have to call it off.

Let's all hope for a better PES 09, giving us the necessary amount of players to have tournaments and challenges like we did with PES6. |
 | New season underway | |
The long 36th season is over, the winner is TurkMania who moves to the top spot of the Hall of Fame with 72 points. Congratulations!
This season will have a fixed timeframe of two months. As it is still quite calm on the games front, you might be able to get into the award ranks with just a few good games. Let's hope things get busy again with PES 2009.
For the latest news and rumors about the new game, be sure to check out and post in our PES 2009 - News and Discussion thread! |
 | Season to end this month | |
Now that we've had some more games played recently, we're ending the season at the end of the month. This might be a good time for a final spurt to make it into the top 6 - it's never been easier!
A few new players have signed up recently, and most of them are finding it hard to get a game. Please be patient and don't leave the chat instantly, many of you just keep missing each other. To all you regulars taking a break and waiting for the new game - dust off the good old PES 6 or 2008, play a few games and make our new players feel welcome! |
 | PES 2009 coming this autumn | |
After months with no hard facts on the new game, PES 2009 is now officially confirmed to come out this autumn for all major gaming platforms (except the Wii).
Links to all news and what we make of it can be found in the PES 2009 - News and Discussion thread.
Go read and participate! |

 | Season ending delayed | |
| This month has probably been the least active in our history, so we decided not to end the season at this point. This is only fair to our previous champions who had to fight hard for the top spots. Stay tuned! |
 | Small update | |
While the league is pretty calm these days, I've found the time for a little site update. The latest forum posts are now shown in the info box on the right. When the post was made within the last six hours, this will be indicated with green text. Keep the mouse over the topic title to see the post text. Click the 'Recent...' headings for the complete lists.
If you find it hard to get a game, we can only encourage you to make appointments with other players using the forum by posting in this thread. Don't forget you can also stay in touch by subscribing to one of our newsfeed links in the bottom right corner, eg. the evo-league forum feed! |

 | Site and forum quirks | |
As you may or may not have noticed, we've had a few periods of downtime in the last week, as well as some problems with the forum database.
No data has been lost, but if you feel like something's wrong or you have problems with anything on the site or forums, don't hesitate to tell an admin on the chat, or send us an email! |

 | New launcher released | |
A new version of the pesmagazine launcher has been released, making smoother PES 2008 gameplay easier to set up than ever before.
Check it out here! |
 | PES 2008 with no lag? | |
With Konami obviously inept to fix the problem, it looks like Angel777 and Orangesea from pesmagazine.net have developed a tool to allow for a direct connection setup eliminating the lag almost completely.
Try it out here!
Don't forget to give feedback how it works for you, and maybe get some players back that had given up on PES 2008 for PC already! |
 | World Leagues over | |
The world leagues are over! The winners are:
North division: TurkMania playing RSC Anderlecht
South division: Knight8 playing AEK Athens
Well done guys! |
 | No 2on2 again | |
Unfortunately, the 2on2 tournament didn't get enough players yesterday again. Our original plan of stringing several mini tournaments together for a bigger one obviously doesn't work, so the recent 2on2 will be counted as regular mini tournament. Further mini tournaments are possible, but you'll have to declare your interest on the forums to see it happen. Thanks to urke who spent three evenings on this, at least we got one tournament played.
On a different note, the World Leagues are almost over, you have until this Sunday to get some or all of your remaining games played. For those who made no effort getting their games played - shame on you, and don't expect to participate in future events. For the rest, we hope you had some fun and that it was worth setting it up for you. |

PES6 2on2 Mini Tournament series
TONIGHT (Thursday, 28 Feb.)
at 20:00 CET in #evo-tourney!
As we didn't get enough players last Saturday, tonight's response may decide whether we continue this in the future or not. If you're interested but just can't make it tonight, post here. |
 | PES6 2on2 again tomorrow | |
The first PES6 tournament yesterday was a successful event, with eight players competing with category 3 national teams. Our first winners are TurkMania and DrMarijuana beating the skyrunner/FrSl team over both legs. All results can be found in the related tournament thread.
If you missed the fun, don't forget it all happens again tomorrow, 23 Feb shortly after 20:00 evo time. If you already played yesterday, be there anyway as you might get a second chance if not enough new players show up. |

The World Leagues are now all open, you should get all your games played until Sunday, March 2nd. If you haven't played your World League Cup game yet, you should make a serious effort getting hold of your opponent. |

 | Old school anyone? | |
The new season has started, congrats to Mysterio90 winning season 34. We'll keep the two months per season setting for now.
The World Leagues are developing well after the usual fallout at the beginning. Dunc04 has written weekly round-ups for both the North League and the South League - check them out!
Finally, chances are good we'll see a PES6 2on2 tournament kicking off soon - if you want to be in, be quick to put your name down in this thread! |

The sign-ups for the PC leagues are closed, it's team picking time. If you signed up, keep an eye on the thread below and pick your team when it's your turn. We'll keep the sign-up threads for XBox 360 and PS3 open for a bit longer, but they won't happen with less than eight players each.

We're planning to close the sign-ups next wekend, and the leagues will only start if a reasonable amount of players wants to join, so tell your friends! |

 | Happy new year! | |
Yeah I know, I'm late. We're happy to see that the daily games count has increased lately, so what does this mean for us in the long run?
First, we're planning to bring back the mini tournaments on a more regular basis, so if you want to compete, make sure you're in the chat on Sunday evenings so we have a fair amount of players to get this going. We're also thinking about launching new leagues soon, maybe even one for PC and XBox 360 each, so watch this space!
Speaking of XBox and PS3 players, if you want the mini tournaments and leagues happen for you, make yourselves heard by posting on the forums, and maybe get a few more players in. We have a good history of leagues and tournaments for PC versions, but these only work well with your input and ideas. |
 | Merry Christmas! | |
Alright, so Konami screwed us over, but still we managed to get the PES 2008 Christmas Tournament done, congratulations kingofpro! Trophy coming soon, I promise!
In case you haven't noticed - the current season does NOT end at the end of this month, but on January 31. Future PES 2008 seasons will probably be two months or longer as well, depending on our games count.
But enough of PES for now - go celebrate! |
 | First PES 2008 PC tournament! | |
We're trying to launch the first PES 2008 tournament within the next days, thanks to our tournament host kingofpro. If you'd like to participate, be quick and put your name down here!
To our PES4 players - we were gone for quite a while, so if you want more opponents to choose from, tell other PES4 or WE8I players online that we're back in business!

 | PES4/WE8I ladder back on evo! | |
Yes it's true, we're kicking it old-school and reviving these old classics. We originally switched it off because we had too much work administrating it, but these days there's no reason to not have it running parallel to the regular PES 2008 ladder.
To play evo-league games, you should download the PES4Online launcher. We still have our own evo-league room there, which is actually the channel #pes4online_evo-league on Quakenet, so you can idle around there parallel to being in our regular #evo-league channel. Only games played in that room are valid evo-league games!
Depending on your default game version, you'll see the standings for your ladder on the front page. Of course, you can always browse the full standings of the PES4/WE8I ladder and the regular ladder.
All further details and comments go HERE. Have fun! |

 | PC patch 1.20 released! | |
 | Yes, we're still here | |
Two weeks have passed, and still we don't get the online experience we expected. One might think Konami would finally put some additional manpower (paid for by OUR money) into fixing the problem, but as usual, this doesn't seem to be the case. To the decreasing number of players who didn't already return their game, let's hope for another patch that fixes the most annoying issues.
We had some nice new additions planned for this year, but with the current amount of games it doesn't make sense to put work into it. We'll give it another few weeks to see if things improve, and if it makes sense to launch major leagues and tournaments anytime soon. Until then, stick around, and we hope you'll get some enjoyable games played. |
 | PES 2008 online? You wish. | |
As usual, Konami chooses to annoy their loyal customers with serious online problems days after the game release. If you're lucky to get a game played, beating both the connection issues and ridiculous game speed problems, well done!
For our newcomers and especially those not playing the PC version - make sure you and your opponent are in the chat before the game, or at least visit the site before you start the game so your name appears in the 'Last online' bar below. We check the games against the access and chat files, so your games may be deleted when there's any doubt. We may also request a screenshot from your 'Last 20 games' screen if there are problems.
I hope this doesn't spoil your fun - if you like it here, be sure to tell players you meet online about us! |
 | All PES 2008 versions now supported! | |
Konami are bringing up their servers, and it's only a matter of time until we get the first games played, so we're happy to announce that you can now report PES 2008 games on evo-league playing either the PC, PS2, PS3 or PC version. The games go in the same ladder as PES6 games for now.
To report games, don't forget you need to edit your profile and select the game versions you have - I also recommend changing the 'Default Game' setting there.
Lastly, share your experiences and problems in the PES 2008 - Online thread as we still need to figure out what lobbies etc. to use - see you there! |

 | PES 2008 out this week | |
The long wait is almost over - PES 2008 is going to be available for all major platforms later this week. Apparently it's already being sold in some shops in the Netherlands too.
As usual, we're working on the site to enable playing evo-league games with these new versions as soon as Konami brings up their servers. In addition, we're trying to add new things that will make this another fun PES/WE year for you here.
While you're waiting, don't forget to take a final look at some PES6 beauties by voting in our Goal Of The Season 31 competition! |

 | 50th Mini-Tournament coming up this Sunday! | |
To mark our 50th Mini-Tournament here at evo-league, we have a special day of tournaments scheduled this Sunday, including the main event starting at around 7:30pm evo-time in #evo-tourney. For all the details on how to qualify, click here!
Also, our latest tournament winners have received their medals for their achievements and taken the pictures to show them off: Knockout for his Champions League success, Cobretti for his 5 mini-tournament victories and Scorpion for his Rest of the World Cup 2 win. Look out for the new tournaments starting as soon as PES 2008 is out to win your own medal! |
 | Season 32 started | |
Another season over, congrats to TurkMania aka Borg for winning the ladder two times in a row with a winning percentage of 82,6% and only 190 scored goals in 76 games. Also noteable how LeeM grabbed a medal for 6th place with 173 goals scored against him - but you can all see it browsing the previous seasons section yourself.
The SNL has come to an end as well, and it's no surprise the winner is Knockout with Sweden! Your medal is on the way, don't forget to show off and post an image of yourself with it!
And finally, you can now enhance your PES 2008 demo with the Time Expander and Kitserver 7 to enable up to four controllers as posted here - thanks kingofpro! |

 | PES 2008 Demo! | |
Everyone's getting pretty bored with PES6, so it's good news that the PES 2008 demo was released on the XBox Live marketplace a few days ago. If you missed it, you can read what we think about it in the PES 2008 - Demo Impressions thread.
The PC demo is OUT NOW! Use this torrent link to download. Check winningelevenblog.com and our chat for more download locations, and don't forget to post your own review after you played it!
Having played the 360 demo myself and looking at the possibility that PES 2008 PC is going to have a LAN option, I think we're looking at a bright league future. |

Just like in previous years, these ladder months are a rather calm affair with many players taking a rest before the next game version is out. However, that doesn't detain us from keeping our events and awards going.
In the awards department, you can go vote for the Goal of the Season 30 - as usual, a lot of great goals to see there. Also up is the 5th newcomer award, a good chance to encourage the best new players to stay here.
Our two major events at the moment are the European Nation Combination and the Summer National League which ends this month. There's also a space up for grabs in the SNL if you want to give it a try. As usual, please follow the deadlines and get your games played! |

 | Transfer patch now allowed! | |

For the guys currently playing in the Summer National League, remember to play your games in time or you might be replaced from this and future competitions if you don't give proper reasons for delays. Also keep an eye out for our next competition, the European Nation Combination!
Finally, Burnzey recorded a great new radio show just a few days ago - you can listen to this and previous shows on the podcast page. |

 | Ladder challenge and mini tournaments | |
After our 27:18 defeat in the recent evo-league vs. pesladder challenge, we're still licking our wounds and blaming the loss on our more elegant style, some top players not showing up and especially . Season reporter urke has written this excellent article to sum it all up, really worth reading!
We've also got something new planned with the mini tournaments which we will reveal within the next days. Until then, don't miss the Vice Versa Cup which will be played this Sunday at 8pm evo time in #evo-tourney. Players who put their name down here will be picked first! |

With the recent release of Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution 2007, the PS2 and XBox 360 versions of the game are now supported on evo-league. For now, the games count for the PES6 ladder.

It's hard to tell if we can establish a user base around these games. If you happen to have one of these versions, be sure to get some other players to sign up here! If we get a reasonable amount of PES 2007 games, a separate ladder can be created easily. |

 | The Final Showdown! | |
The season 19 has ended with TurkMania (aka Borg) managed to finally win the ladder before people stop playing PES5 altogether. Some may say he did so using a strategy avoiding top players, but everyone was free to go past him with some more wins. Our congratulations to all award winners.
As we can already smell PES6 around the corner, it's time to conclude this evo-league year with our PES5: The Final Showdown tournament. The top 16 ladder players of the past season can now battle for the top spot, good luck everyone!
There were not as many interesting events this season to write about, but one thing was kingofpro going past Stormrider in terms of total evo games played. Our season reporters wrote an interesting article about it, you can read it here! |

 | Tumbleweed | |
It's been a rather calm month until now with many players taking a rest before PES6 is out and Konami servers getting worse every day. Nonetheless, we did manage to get some competitions done.
gecko has won the Summer Challenge '06, winning 3-1 (aggregate) in the final against Atol. The Evo Team Cup has come to an end as well with the reformed Flying Dutchies winning over The Mods on goal difference.
The European Club League is also completed. Cobretti came out on top as manager of AS Roma. Congrats to all winners and thanks to everyone who tried to get their games played in time, you'll be the first choice for future leagues and tournaments. |

 | ECL, SC and GOTS | |
The European Club League is now entering its final phase, and many players still have the chance to win this title. Please make sure you get all your games played until September 25th. Players with less than 20 games should get playing asap if they want to keep their team.
Things are also heating up in the Summer Challenge '06 with Atol to meet either Sheepshagger or gecko in the final. Will gecko walk away with his first tournament title after three ladder wins?
Finally, you have decided that cycobbs has won the Season 18 GOTS Competition with this beautiful Henry/Bergkamp combination. Well done! |

 | Season 18 started | |
The new season is on! Congratulations to gecko and oliver_serbia, the ladder winners of season 17.
Attention PES4 players! With many new players joining recently, we have noticed that many do not stick to the rules. We will remove players not following the rules quicker from now on - so go read them again!
The main problems are with players playing as host only. Remember that a match in evo always means playing one game as host and one as client. If you report games against a client-only player, clearly state that in your game comment. Games with no descriptive comment and no client rematch may be deleted instantly, and players may receive a yellow or red card. You can help us by posting about strange games on the forum to make the ladder more fair for all players. If this doesn't work, we may soon close the PES4 ladder altogether. |

 | Tournament madness! | |
With six tournaments running concurrently these days, some players may lose track of what games they have yet to play. These tournaments are currently running:
DFB-Pokal (Bundesliga), La Copa del Rey (La Liga), Evo Team Cup, Evo Masters, World Cup 2006 and Champions League.
If you play in any of these, please try to contact your opponent(s) and get your games played. If you have problems finding them or make an appointment to play the game, post it in the forum to let us know what's going on. Remember that players who do not make an effort to contact their opponents and play their games may be replaced and not offered a spot in future tournaments or leagues. |

In our first inter-site ladder tournament against the guys over at pesladder.com, our players WhatsNext, TurkMania, I-I-I-I, Cobretti, gecko, Sheepshagger, the-gunner, Robinho, kingofpro and Atoldid a very fine job and came away with a stunning 23:5 win. Splendid work guys!

 | Ladders separated - WE9I added! | |
The new season has started, congratulations to our new Champion gecko winning his first ladder cup. I've been working hard to bring you a feature you requested, splitting the ladder into separate PES4 and PES5 ladders. Depending on what you selected as your default game in your profile, either the PES4 or the PES5 ladder will appear on the index page. You're still free to play different versions of the game as before, so you can be in both ladders at the same time.
With the release of Winning Eleven 9 International, we now support this game on evo-league as well. It's basically the same game as PES5, so it belongs to the PES5 ladder. If you play this game, remember to edit your profile and add WE9I as one of your game versions. This update was a little rushed, I had little time to code and test it, but I wanted to release it already for this season. Please post any errors you may find in the update thread. |

 | Fresh blood - your help needed! | |
It's been a bit quiet on the news front lately as the head administration of evo-league has moved into a bigger office. As you may have noticed already, Atol is our current ladder champion and the-gunner has won the Goal Of The Season competition with a great goal that you can see in the Goal Gallery forum. Well done guys!
As the league is evolving more with national leagues and great tournaments like the RoW Cup or the UEFA Cup going on, we really need some new PES5 players to keep things going and interesting for everyone. If you're an active PES5 player, please spend some time in different lobbies and write chat messages like 'join us at www.evo-league.com' to other players or sometimes in the public chat.
We don't want to annoy anyone, but I'm sure there are many people out there that would like to join a good community - so if you meet a nice player, spend a minute or two to tell him about us. Please post your comments and ideas on this HERE, thanks! |

 | UEFA Cup started! | |
The UEFA Cup draw was done today, we're playing eight groups with four players each. If you signed up for it, check out your opponents and get playing! You can read everything about the Cup in the Club Tournaments forum and view the latest schedule and results image on the UEFA Cup tournament page. Good luck everyone!
The European Cup final was played yesterday with Stormrider to win the Cup beating I-I-I-I's Germany 6-2. Well done mate! All the goals from the final are in the International Tournaments forum, to see the full schedule and results visit the Euro Cup tournament page. |

- Forums modified to enable the creation of subforums
- Joinlist to see who joined when (under players page)
- Team statistics added
Thanks to Adman for providing watermark images.
Please report any errors you may find in the v3.1 update thread, and don't forget to post your comments. |

 | GOTS 10 winner: MiKi! | |
MiKi is our new GOTS winner with this beautiful rabona strike by Recoba. Check out the Goal Gallery for more great goals!

We also introduced a new PES5 Goal Compilations thread containing all 10 goal compilations that our players have done so far. Don't miss these great movies! |

 | Happy new year! | |
We wish all players and friends of evo-league good games and a lot of fun for the new year. The 10th season ended recently with Sheepshagger winning his first overall title, congratulations! If you didn't know, you can see all season winners and a hall of fame ranking on the Champions page.
As on every start of a new season, you can view and vote for the best goals of the past season in our Goal Of The Season Competition. A lot of great goals to see there, so be sure to check them out and vote for your favorite!
The league is going well, but we still have more PES4 players than PES5 players. If you're a PES5 player, don't forget to tell players you meet online about us, for example by setting "join www.evo-league.com" as one of your in-game chat messages. |

 | evo-league v3.0 update! | |
Ho-ho-ho. Right before christmas, we bring you a nice update introducing two main new features! The first is the selection and display of team badges. You can now specify one or two favorite teams in your profile. These will be your default options when you report a game and select the teams used. The team badges will then appear on the games lists.
The second addition is a new page for the English Premier League, our first national league competition. It will show all the played games and a realtime league table, simply click EPL in the main menu to go there.
This was a rather big update, and it would not have happened without the help of you guys. Many thanks to FrSl, the-gunner, kingofpro, Atol, Sheepshagger and Adman for your great work. Read more in the v3 update thread and let us know what you think! |
 | GOTS 9 Winner: Robinho! | |
Robinho's superb Pires volley is the winner in our current Goal of the Season competition. Well done mate. Check out the Goal Gallery for more great goals!

Posting your goals has never been easier, we now offer webspace and an upload form where you can upload your goals and easily post them in the forum. No more losing goals with crappy web hosters! |
 | Season 9 ended - vote for best goal! | |
Season 9 has ended, congratulations to Barkeeper for winning his first gold cup, well done mate. In our first PES5 season, Sheepshagger made it to the top spot for an overall 4rd rank in the mixed standings.
The Goal of the Season competition poll is up and has some great goals, be sure to watch them and vote! The winner will be decided in four days when the poll is over, so don't miss it!
If you have never visited the Goal Gallery, well it's about time! Stormrider cleaned it up and we'll never lose a goal there anymore. There are also two great goal compilations from zotebier and Stormrider which are definitely worth watching. |
 | Happy birthday evo-league! | |
evo-league has been running for a full year now. Thank you all for making the league as successful as it is today, especially to Stormrider who has put a lot of work into this, and the rest of the staff and each of you running tournaments and helping new players. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Please spend a minute to read the Birthday Thread in the forum. We really need your input and help on how to go through the next year, and of course you can tell us if we did a good job. |
 | PES4 - going back to green arrows! | |
The latest poll has decided that we're going back to using green form arrows for PES4. If your opponent is using grey arrows, ask him nicely to change the arrows or play with grey if you both agree.
After the game has started, the grey arrows are NOT a valid reason to quit the game. In three days, all PES4 games should be played using green arrows again. By the way, why are you still playing PES4? Go buy PES5 for the full evo experience!
On a different note, it looks like not all players have yet found our new community home, the evo-league chatroom. Even if you don't play PES5, why not hang around with us other league players and play some sports trivia! |
 | PES5 PC, XBox and PS2 support added! | |
Another season has started tonight, congratulations to gasolino for his 4th cup and his second overall win. He's now in second place in the all-time champions rating.
The evo-league.com v2.2 update brings full support for the latest versions of the game to the league. Don't forget to update your profile and add the new game versions you play online. You can read all about the update and report bugs in the update thread.

When you're online and meet new players, don't forget to tell them about us by setting www.evo-league.com or something similar as one of your default chat messages. Have fun! |
 | PES5 for PC, PS2 and Xbox is out! | |
PES5 is now available for PC, PS2 and XBox. Since there's no direct IP connection feature in the game (yet), we will allow evo-league games in PES5 to be played without using a launcher. If you already have the game, please post in the PES5 League Players List so it's easy to find other league players.
The usual rules apply with the following exceptions:
- ALWAYS do the player identity verification!
- Use GREEN form arrows
- Since both players host one half automatically, a rematch is not needed
Now get playing guys! |
 | GOTS 7 Winner & PES5 PS2 out! | |
kingofpro is our first winner of the Goal of the Season competition with this marvelous free kick by Henry. Check out the Goal Gallery for more great goals!

PES5 for PS2 should be available in stores from today, there are also rumors that the PC version is already available in some countries. As soon as there's launcher support for it, evo-league games can played with PES5 as well as PES4. |

 | Vote for Goal of the Season! | |
The new season started off well, Antrax is our champion for season 7. The Goal Gallery that was introduced last season was received well and many players posted their best goals. Check it out if you haven't already, and post your own goals!
When a new season starts, the best goals from the previous season will be picked for the Goal of the Season competition. The poll to find the best goal for season 7 is already running, so go there and vote!
Our sign-up administrator Stormrider in on vacation and I'm very busy these days, so new players may not get an instant reply to their requests. Please be patient or try again in a while. PES5 is just around the corner, and we're planning to incorporate PES5 games into evo-league as soon as there is launcher support for the game. |

 | PES 5 demo leaked! | |
Just like every year, the demo is not released officially but is coming to the fans through mysterious channels. Intention or fault? Who knows. Anyway, I think it's safe to say that they have not messed up the game when porting Winning Eleven to PES this year, so you can expect a great game.
So what are you waiting for? Go see it for yourself and download the file using one of the links provided in the PES5 Discussion thread in the forum. I think the demo features four teams and playing one half, but a trainer to extend the game time is already available! News on kit patches or similar useful mods and tools will be posted in the same thread when they become available. After you tried the demo, don't forget to post your impressions and maybe some nice screenshots for the others to see! |

 | Goal Gallery, Tutorials & first PES5 review! | |
 | Grey arrows won! | |
It was close, but the poll has decided for grey form arrows (the down arrow) to be used for the current season. For the next three days, hosts using green arrows are valid, but tell them to use grey arrows next time.
After 09/09 12:05 am, only grey arrow games are valid. If you have a host using green arrows, complain before the game starts. After the game is started, this is not a valid reason to quit. Before this season ends, we will decide again how to go on based on your experiences, so don't forget to tell your opinion in the forum.
An update that went quite unnoticed was done last friday, adding a Champions page where you can see all past season award winners as well as an overall ranking. You can access it by clicking "Champions" in the online bar below. The forum thread for the update is here. |
 | New season & form arrow poll | |
Season 7 has started today, congratulations to Cobretti for winning his first Gold Cup after three Bronze and one Silver Cup, and of course to all other players earning an award.
There's a discussion in the forum going on whether we should change the form arrows rule from green to gray for a while. The poll will end in three days, so take a minute and cast your vote after you've read the other player's comments. I think a little change would be refreshing until PES5 comes out.
The tournaments are starting again after the summer break, if you're still active in one of them don't forget to contact your opponent soon and play your games. |

 | evo-league v2.0 update! | |
Well, you may have seen it already, the whole layout has been changed. The donations now cover the whole last year, so I've been working hard to bring you a fresh look for the site. Thanks again to all players that have donated so far, I hope we can cover the expenses for the coming year as well.
Stormrider tested the new design all common browsers so I hope there are not too many errors. If you find some anyway, post them in the update thread as usual, along with any comments or suggestions you may have. This update also features a spanish translation of the rules, many thanks to NokYA for doing this.
I'm off for my holidays soon, so if you encounter major errors, be quick to let me know. Have fun with the new site. |
 | New season & donations again | |
The new season has started without any problems, congrats to all players receiving awards.
It may be annoying but I have to bring up the donation request again. If we don't get enough donations to pay for the hosting for another year, the league will close in two months, so invest five minutes of your time and read the donation page to see what you can do about this. Thanks to all players that have already donated and shown their support. |
 | New stats & warning system | |
As described in the forum, a new warning system has been introduced. Instead of banning users straight away, players will now see a red or yellow card along with a reason on their profile. For the statistics page, views for 'Best Offense' and 'Best Defense' were added.

Don't forget the season ends on Sunday night. The rules are the same as described in earlier news items, so if you're unsure how the season end works, read up on it! |
 | Account passivated? Nah. | |
Hi all,
I was just testing some code changes on my local machine and forgot to turn off email sending. If you received an email telling your account was passivated because you haven't played in the last 12 weeks and this is not true, don't worry, your account is still active.
I posted the same in the forum, feel free to comment there. |
 | Season 5 started | |
Congratulations to gasolino for winning season 4 and all players getting an award. The new season was started by Stormrider yesterday, he can now administrate some of the evo-league functions, handles the player sign-up and is the first man to ask if there are problems. Thanks for your help dude!
For the new season, remember to play by the new rules, using green form arrows and Club House as stadium. If you're playing in one of our tournaments, remember the deadlines for your games and to contact your opponents in time. Check the forum often and post reasons if you can't play your games. If you don't, it's hard for the tournament organisers to keep going and you may not be able to play in future tournaments. |
 | New season, rules & tournaments | |
The Evo Cup has a winner: zotebier! He defeated TTPI in the final game of a nice tournament.
The World Cup group stage is almost finished, play your remaining games tonight! The Champions League has kicked off as well, thanks to Megaman0 for running it.
The new season is starting soon, the rules for the last hour are the same as they were last season. The next league season will be played with two changes to the rules, the first using Club House as default stadium and second using green form arrows only. |
 | Tournaments page added | |
With the Evo Cup and the World Cup tournaments running, we now have a tournaments page where you can see all the current and past tournaments with full schedules and diagrams! Thanks to WhatsNext and mitch for the work they're putting into running the tournaments, I think they're great fun.
The tournaments link replaces the chat link in the main navigation bar since it was not really used since the launcher was introduced. |
 | New season started! | |
Congratulations to our season 3 champion Antrax! It was a close finish between him and TurkMania with the two final games of the season deciding the winner. Well done guys!
Again for the current tournaments, the second round of the Evo Cup is running and the World Cup is going to start in a few days! If you're quick you might still get a free spot to play in the WC, check out the forums for all details. |
 | Season end & tournaments | |
Season 3 will end tonight at 12:00 am CEST. Like last season, do not start any new games after 11:15 pm apart from rematches. Single games with no rematch will be deleted at 12:00 am before the new season starts. Any complaints about games should be posted at least six hours before.
The second round of the Evo Cup is running already with some interesting games to come, and the World Cup is going to start in a few days! If you're quick you might still get a free spot to play, check out the forums for all details. |

 | First tournament - starting soon! | |
WhatsNext is organising the first evo-league tournament for us, the Evo World Cup! Visit the tournament forum to find out how it works and to sign up.
On an additional note, many thanks to the players that have donated to evo-league so far. I hope some more of the regular players will show their support and help keeping evo-league up and running. All info is on the donation page. |
 | Donate to evo-league! | |
Here it is, the long awaited donation option!
Please consider donating a small amount of your choice to help keep evo-league alive by clicking the button below. Thank you in advance.
If you never donated anything, don't have a PayPal account or just wonder what the fuss is all about, please read the donation page. |

 | Season started | |
The new season has started.
I hope everything works well, I'm not at home atm. |
 | The end is near | |
The current season will end on May 1st, 12:00 am CEST (Saturday night). A new season will start after a downtime of about ten minutes.
Do not start any new games after 11:15 am on April 30 apart from rematches. Single games with no rematch will be deleted at 12:00 am before the new season starts. Any complaints about games should be posted at least six hours before.
Please take a minute to read and comment in this forum thread on what a new design for evo-league could look like! |
 | Beware of fakers! | |
With more users unable to play in this league, we have more people pretending to be someone else to mess everything up.
To prevent this, verify your opponent's identity as described in the rules before every game.
Games against users that have not logged in to the site before the game and appeared in the 'last online' bar below may be deleted if there is any doubt. |
 | Rules update | |
Please not the following addition to the rules.
Games are always to be reported after the rematch. Only report a game without a rematch if your opponent remains unreachable for more than an hour or if he refuses the rematch. If there was a disconnection involved, read the disconnection rules on how to deal with disconnections.
If you report a single game, give the reason for it in the comment. Also consider to post in the forum. Single matches that do not have a descriptive english comment with a reason are likely to be deleted. |
 | A new season starts! | |
The new season has started, congratulations to our league champion Maradona! I hope everything works well with this evo-league v1.2 update. The main new user features are:
- seasoning and player history
- standings views for continents, regions and countries
- new profile options: nationality and message
- updated rules
Post praise and any errors you find after in the update description thread in the forum. Remember to play fair and follow the rules in the following season, there are many users that would like to play but cannot sign up at the moment.
Have fun! |
 | The new season | |
...will start tomorrow night, Sunday 0:05 CET.
I'm still working on the update tonight, but I will answer your forum posts and fix games in a short while. Please be patient.
Please note that game results are to be reported after the rematch was played!
To those who want to sign up but can't, some new users will be allowed in on Sunday. |
 | New rules! | |
It took me a while, but the rules needed to be redone completely. Every league player should read the updated rule set, especially the new game settings.
Games are to be reported after the rematch. Single games without an explaining comment will be deleted right away.
The new season will not start unless someone finds me some cup graphics.

 | PES4Online v1.9 released! | |
A new version of the PES4 Online launcher was released today, featuring support for both PES4 and WE8I, included MPSO and our own room Evo-league! Please use this room instead of Worldcup from now on. The full story and download can be found on their home page.
All evo-league games are to be played through the launcher. Games not played through the launcher are invalid from now on.
A new seaon will probably start next Friday, but I still need some help! |
 | MPSO & end of season | |
MPSO is a tool to turn on manual player switching and manual goalkeeper for PES4 or WE8I. It is very easy to use and can be downloaded here.
You can now use MPSO for all your evo-league online games, but it's nice to let other players know how to use it!
I think about ending the current season in a few weeks. Ideas on what should happen at the end of a season are still very welcome! |
 | Manual player switching online | |
It is now possible to use manual player switching online using a nifty tool called MPSO. It is NOT allowed to use this for league games unless your opponent claims he uses it too, or doesn't need it.
Some new features were added, if you're logged in and click on a player profile, you can now see how many points you would win or lose against them if you played a game.
Also, please use the new checkboxes for 'winner hosted the game' and 'aggregate result' correctly when reporting games! |
 | PES4? WE8I? @#?! | |
You can now specify whether you have PES4, WE8I or both in your profile. The default is PES4. The player search now supports searching by game as well.
Other fixes include a host flag when reporting games, so the client of a game will be shown in blue and in the tooltip.
Forum registration is fixed, there was a slight problem when upgrqading to phpBB 2.0.11.
comments -> forum.  |
 | Important change, please note! | |
To ensure a fair game for everyone with no cheating, all evo-league PC games should now be played using the all new PES4 Online launcher v1.8.2 in the channel Worldcup. The room is online 24/7!
Please read the info page on how to use this. Using this launcher will also give you updated team rosters to play online and will become mandatory to play evo-league games in a short while!
As usual, please post comments in the forum. :b |
 | Major site update! | |
- updated info/rules, please read it!
- inactivity penalty for not playing (with email notification)
- daily game summary email if you have played games
- rank info for players, tooltip for won/lost points on index
- option to specify connection speed in profile, please update!
- current rank, player activity, link to player's games in profile
- option to set yourself inactive for holiday / quitting
- statistics for player activity, countries, forums, games/day
A more detailed explanation is posted in the forum. Any errors, suggestions and praise should go there. |
 | Use the launcher! | |
With the new version 2.44 of Pes4Launcher it is possible to have separate rooms, so I'm running a server with the room evo_league_com on it.
If many people use it, you can find players there, chat, host games and you don't even have to exchange ip addresses before the game!
The server is a simple windows application, just like the client. Unfortunately i cannot run it from my server 24/7, but mostly in the evenings. If you can host it full or part time, please contact me. You can try out the server here. If there's no evo_league_com room, feel free to create one. |
 | Happy new year! | |
I've made some changes today, the more obvious ones are probably that you need to log in to see the players page and to report a game, so entering your password every time isn't necessary anymore.
Separate ranking tables for different platforms and seasons will be introduced in a few weeks, meaning that the current leaders will get something like a silver/gold star beside their names and everybody starts with zero points into the new season. I'd like to see more user input on this, so don't hesitate to post in the forum!
Also, people tend to drop in and out of the chat, just stay a while and you might find an opponent. Another good way to find players online is to use a launcher for pes4, a link is on the info page. |
 | Fair play | |
I encourage everybody to read the info page and follow the basic rule set.
If you feel someone's not playing fair, before contacting me try to sort it out with the player first, then please post in the forum so other players can share their views.
There's now a chat applet available for those who don't want to install an IRC client, thanks to Seasidewolf for sending me the applet.
Hope to see some of you there! |
 | Some additional info | |
The Ra2 Ladder system used for calculating points looks a bit unfair for the first few games. I posted the formula for the calculation HERE. Ratings for other systems an be seen in the statistics view. If you decide another system is better after a few more days, we can switch to that without losing anything.
I just got the game and will idle around in IRC on Quakenet channel #evo-league. This might be an easy way to find other players.
A distinction between PC and XBox will be added soon. Game data won't get lost. |
 | Up and running! | |
evo-league.com is now up and running, so go sign up for an account and register your games!
I tried to keep it simple and functional, so don't expect anything too fancy yet.
Please post comments and suggestions in the forum, as well as any bugs you encountered. |
